Welcome to The Third Note.
We are a premier music ensemble training academy, performance venue and band instrument repair hub where master craftsmanship meets the art of play.
A student picking up a bow for the first time or an enthusiast "dusting off" a vintage horn, find your rhythm in our new space in Wong Chuk Hang.

Trade the solo practice room for the energy and team experience of playing in a live band or ensemble.
Under our expert guidance, students master the intricate art of ensemble play, turning individual skill into a powerful, collective musical experience.
We run an 8+1 curricular framework. That means eight intensive rehearsals culminating in a low-stakes, high-reward concert happening.
It is an environment designed to build confidence before stepping onto a larger stage.
We also place a special focus on "scholarship" instruments—guiding students towards lesser known voices of an ensemble, offering your child a unique pathway to future musical opportunities.

Band Instrument Repair
You cannot expect a child to fall in love with music if they are constantly wrestling with a leaky, poorly adjusted instrument.
Our repair workshop is a centre of excellence, led by technician Craig, who holds internationally recognised qualifications from the Colorado Institute of Music Instrument Technology and is a NAPBIRT member
We execute museum-quality restorations, breathing life into vintage saxophones and overhauling temperamental brass.
Whether it is an emergency repair, bulk school service and repair, school or a bespoke modification for a professional, we treat instrument maintenance as a craft.
"Needle and Groove"
A sanctuary of sound
curated analogue listening experiences
Opens in Summer 2026
Inspired by the traditional Japanese jazz kissa, this is a dedicated sanctuary for deep, uninterrupted listening.
It is a real-life-only zone. No screens, no digital fatigue. Just the warm, analog crackle of a diverse record collection, offering a rare environment in Hong Kong for focused musical experience.
It serves as our cultural heart—an informal meeting point where musicians, visiting clinicians, parents and friends can simply exist in the presence of good music.
"As a parent of two children who have been part of MicraMusic’s music programs, I’m excited about what the Third Note will offer.
It sounds like a wonderful opportunity for children to grow in music in a focused, inspiring environment, and I look forward to seeing my children thrive there."
