The Upper Primary Instrumental Music After School Activity (ASA) program encourages students’ personal development in creativity, self-expression and artistic communication whilst nurturing collaborative and individual talents through Band or Strings instrumental music education.

Genesis Band is for students in Grade 3 , 4 or 5 to commence learning a single Band instrument.

Program Goals

  • Use Band and Stringed Instruments to learn how to read and communicate in the Music Language.

  • Engage in teamwork and cooperation by working together to create and perform Instrumental music.

  • Refine listening skills, improve organisational skills and develop better eye and hand coordination. 

  • Boost self-esteem, learn perseverance, strengthen social skills and develop friendships, by being a part of the vibrant UP Instrumental Music ASA program.

The UP Instrumental Music ASA’s welcome inquisitive and experienced musicians to be part of the excitement of learning collaboratively by playing and performing within the Upper Primary Band or Strings Programs.
